The Western Fence Lizard, also known as the Blue-Belly Lizard, is very common in California. This particular lizard was sunning itself by the side of one of the many trails in Mount Lassen National Park located in the northeastern part of the state of California. For those that have never seen a Blue=Belly Lizard, if you pick the lizard up and turn it over the underside has two blue patches on either side of the belly of the lizard.
