The Garrapata Beach and coastline within Garrapata State Park in Northern California has numerous entry points to get to the coast. This image was taken looking northwest on the northern trail that leads from gate 19 down to one of the most lovely white sands beaches in the area. The turquoise blue water of the pacific ocean is clearly visible in the background as well as some of the coastal mountains. Garrapata Beach is located between the city of Carmel and Big Sur and is a beautiful place to visit and spend a day in the sun watching the waves roll in and out.
