So many of us who take great care and pride of our gardens would consider the Dandelion plant to be an unwelcome weed. But the plant can also be beautiful in all of its stages as well as medicinal in its uses, as it is considered an herb.
As one can see in this image, this particular dandelion is transitioning from the bright yellow flower (the dried up brown and yellow petals in the shape of a bulb at the top of the plant) to the white bristle filaments, shaped like little parachutes, about to be revealed from under the green- and blue-colored petal-like leaves that keep them hidden until the proper time of their unveiling to then be blown by the wind or the puff of a breath of air to travel delicately to begin the cycle of Dandelion life all over again (much to the gardener's dismay).
I thought this image particularly artistic and beautiful in its own unique way -- a Dandelion in stage of metamorphosis.
